by Anon
International Journal of Vehicle Design (IJVD), Vol. 11, No. 3, 1990

Abstract: The Land Rover 'Discovery' is the result of one of the most comprehensive pan-European research programmes undertaken in the four-wheel-drive market. It is aimed at the growing number of customers who see leisure and recreation as an increasingly important part of their lifestyle. The three-door estate vehicle retains the traditional strengths of all Land Rovers and Range Rovers, such a permanent four-wheel-drive for outstanding traction, long travel coil spring suspension for ride comfort and lightweight rustproof panels, accompanied by an all-new body design.
