Technical Note: Filter for removing cancer-causing compounds from exhaust fumes (UK Patent GB 2 177 078 B)

Abstract: A novel method is provided for scrubbing industrial particulate and gaseous pollutants obtained from industrial combustion engines by causing the pollutants to be adsorbed on an adsorbing mass made up of dry porous pellets consisting of a mixture of natural magnesium silicate attapulgite and mixtures thereof with a cementitious clay binder, the latter representing 1-20% by weight of the dry pellets.
