Abstract: This conference address takes the form of a general discussion on recent innovations in the motor industry. Various developments such as front-wheel drive, antiskid devices and greater use of seat belts are considered. The address concludes by looking at future innovations such as improved safety, lower fuel consumption, reduced emissions and traffic control systems.
