Optimal design and dynamic simulation of a motorcycle with linkage suspension
by E. Pennestri, A. Strozzieri
International Journal of Vehicle Design (IJVD), Vol. 9, No. 3, 1988

Abstract: This paper concerns the dynamics of a motorcycle adopting rear linkage suspension. After a short review of the best-known structural solutions, a computer-aided procedure for the kinematic synthesis of linkage suspensions is described. Additionally, a five degree-of-freedom dynamic model is proposed to analyse how the linkage design parameters affect the motorcycle's overall dynamic response.
