Abstract: The purpose of the development of automatic application of adhesive sealers to metals is for the improvement of rustproofing for the outside body members of motor cars. This paper looks into the requirements of the application process for improved rust-proofing, and the problems that are encountered with the conventional processes. A new automatic sealer application system has been developed using high-speed robots.
