Modelling tasks in the analysis of the driving behaviour of single-track vehicles

International Journal of Vehicle Design (IJVD), Vol. 8, No. 2, 1987

Abstract: A new linear procedure for the simulation of the driving behaviour of single-track vehicles has been developed. It allows a more precise modelling of parts for single-track vehicles than the usual multibody-system formalism does. Using a CAD/FEM data transfer a reduction of the modelling work can be reached. Some tyre models as well as the gyroscopic, aerodynamic and road effects have been implemented. A comparison with the running tests shows the accuracy of the presented approach.
