Abstract: It is very difficult to evaluate the proportion of braking torque using the conventional method, because the braking effectiveness at each wheel changes independently with the passage of time as a result of use of a vehicle. This phenomenon is herein called 'braking torque transfer'. To solve these problems, we have recently developed a new method in which the factors causing braking torque transfer are examined and combined by a statistical method and pro-med, thereby permitting more accurate evaluation in a shorter period of time.
