Abstract: The Spectral Eulerian Lagrangian model (SPELL) is a mixed Eulerian Lagrangian model which couples the effects of relative and absolute dispersion, and relates both dispersion effects to the wind velocity atmospheric spectra. The model has been evaluated in the case of an elevated source using the Copenhagen dataset as well as a ground-level source using the Prairie Grass dataset. The test is limited to convective experiments.
