Models and mechanisms for traffic balancing of IPTV VoD service

Abstract: The low cost of broadcasting over the internet, and the reachability of an internet broadcast compared to conventional methods, have made IPTV service the ultimate future of television and radio, and the choice of many providers nowadays. Thus, to evaluate the current traffic balancing mechanisms when handling traffic of IPTV service, the specific models are suggested in this paper. Also, an analysis of each of these mechanisms is performed using the IPTV service traffic model.
