Strategic myopia: the case of MNC entry into LDCs

Abstract: This paper discusses several episodes where First-World paradigms have been applied to strategic investments in emerging markets within LDCs. It is suggested that inappropriate business paradigms, coupled to an ideological myopia, are the root causes of many failed internationalisation projects.
