The current situation and future trends in electric vehicle vibration and noise problem investigation

Abstract: With the rapid development of the electric vehicle (e-vehicle) technology and its widespread application, the corresponding problem of noise and vibration attracts the rising professional attention. This paper is devoted to the analysis of the e-vehicle noise and vibration issues in comparison with vehicles with the conventional internal combustion engines (ICEs). It specifically concerns the measures of increasing the noise vibration harshness (NVH) index, safety, and acoustic characteristics for e-vehicles. The current technologies and future trends in the sphere of e-vehicle noise and vibration control have also been discussed.
