Abstract: Business excellence represents one of the modern business concepts that contribute to optimal results without defects and unnecessary costs. Researchers began studying business excellence towards the end of the 20th century, from about the 1980s. Developed business excellence concepts are accepted around the world, and these are evident in numerous models. The main purpose of this paper is to determine the influence of business excellence processes on hotel performance. The hypothesis of this research is that business excellence has a positive influence on improving hotel performance. Business research was conducted on a sample of high-ranked Croatian hotels. Research results highlight positive and statistically significant influence of business excellence and hotel performance. Using linear equation, it can be concluded that the implementation of business excellence improves hotel performance by 0.81 degree. Theoretical determinants and empirical results are creating the foundation for future research work.
