Abstract: An analytical method has been developed to correct vehicle acceleration performance test data acquired under various ambient conditions to a standard condition. This correction provides a common basis for product evaluation and comparison. Example results show that variation in vehicle performance measures due to different test conditions can be reduced by 50% by using this method. This work presents a unique tool to achieve more accurate and timely assessment of various vehicle designs and, at the same time, reduce vehicle development cost and lead time.
