Abstract: Cloud computing is rapidly becoming a valuable computing infrastructure, strongly leveraging the concept of virtualisation of physical resources. This paper deals with virtualised infrastructures in federated scenarios, assuming grid resources. In particular, our CLEVER cloud middleware presents several features to easily manage private/hybrid clouds. Grid middleware may benefit from CLEVER advanced features as it offers simple and easy accessible interfaces to interact with different 'interconnected' computing infrastructures. The integration of any grid middleware with CLEVER enables administrators to easily setup a cloud infrastructure for a quick provisioning of IaaS on grid.
