Abstract: Artificial plant optimisation algorithm is a new stochastic optimisation algorithm inspired by the plant growing process. In this paper, the primary version is applied to solve reactive power optimisation of power system. To show the efficiency, IEEE118 bus systems is employed. Simulation results show it is effective.
