Train-structure interaction: measurement in the subway of Milan

Abstract: An example of train-substructure interaction is presented in this paper, which deals with some experimental tests carried out on the third line of Milan's subway. This line is mainly equipped with the 'Vienna' substructure, which is a double elastic layered one, with good performances in terms of noise and vibration reduction, but sometimes exhibiting problems associated with its high compliance.
