Abstract: YouTube portal is a popular video-sharing tool for entertainment. On similar ideas, we propose a solution called YouLearn portal to support learning through archiving of lecture and tutorial materials. The portal allows lectures and tutorials to be recorded and posted onto the internet for students to watch back, where audio, video and image files are synchronised and deployed through web podcasting. It effectively encourages students to share with each other through an open forum, as well as to serve as an alternate classroom to students, especially for those who are not able to attend classes in person.
