Abstract: Most of the existing secure location estimation schemes in wireless sensor networks cannot resist collusion attack, especially when the number of the malicious nodes is larger than the benign nodes. In order to enhance the location efficiency and accuracy in hostile environments, an accelerated consistency-based location estimation algorithm is proposed which is based on the basic voting-based location estimation algorithm. Furthermore, to minimise the effect of majority-colluding attack, the location information of the non-beacon nodes that have been estimated safely is used in the process of location estimation. Simulation results show that our scheme has a stronger resilience against collusion attack.
