Abstract: Water inrush and burst mud cause great hidden danger and economic loss, so it gradually became an important technical problem for tunnel construction. The prediction principle of seismic wave method, electromagnetic wave method, and electrical method were analysed. The merits and demerits of the three methods in the prediction of tunnel water-bearing structure were compared. The superiority of multi-physical field information comprehensive analysis method was introduced. The application in practical engineering shows that the multi-physical field information comprehensive analysis can detect the position and scale of tunnel water-bearing structure accurately, and supply some useful references for tunnel construction to avoid the water inrush and burst mud.
