Abstract: The mobility robustness optimisation in LTE system is a significant function entity to guarantee the performance of users' mobility by setting the parameters of handover, controlling terminals' handover and cell's selection. This paper first analyses all the problems brought about by the existing algorithm in the process of setting currently available parameters of mobility robustness, which only considers the level of terminals' moving rate. Then, it proposes an optimised algorithm for target cell selection combined with the location relationship of cells and coverage scope, and simulation results prove that the algorithm proposed in this paper can make cell selection more effective.
