A novel approach to model PHEVs in reconstructed power systems

Abstract: Random behaviour of consumers is one key cause for low efficiency of a power network. Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEVs) are one solution for this problem. It is proven that PHEVs are mostly idle in parking lots, so energy of batteries could be varied based on the need of the network. Vehicle to Grid (V2G) is the term that is applied for this characteristic to integrate PHEVs. Because there is not any real experience of PHEVs' integration in parking lots and due to the fact that PHEVs do not have any constant behaviour in parking lots, there is a need for a dynamic model. In this paper, a new approach for this purpose has been proposed. Simulation would be done on a San Diego network. Results would confirm why dynamic modelling is better. Parameters such as social welfare not provided load, total generation would be compared in three different scenarios.
