International Journal of Logistics Systems and Management (IJLSM), Vol. 14, No. 3, 2013

Abstract: Due to complex, uncertain and asymmetric business conditions, the flow of information among supply chain (SC) linkages is essential for competitiveness. Information sharing (IS) is encouraging SC linkages for making information available to SC organisations. The main objective of this paper is to propose a conceptual framework for IS enablement in SC along with the tactical plan. It also explains about how the IS enablement in SC can produce differential advantages for chain. Better and clear understanding of strategic relevance of IS in SC is expected to contribute more effectively towards IS enablement in SC.
