Abstract: This paper aims at presenting the topic of optimising production in flexible manufacturing systems (FMSs). Research is directed towards FMSs study to find out their behaviour and performance as well, and if possible, even before their physical realisation, and to scientifically establish the models of FMS optimisation, with application in the circular concrete shafts. Mathematical models will contain a number of parameters and optimisation criteria, objective function, performance indicators, average optimal synthesis and real time.
