Abstract: A new high-strength aluminium bronze alloy is developed by casting under the common atmosphere. The casting alloy performance is determined by the following factors: smelting rate, deoxidisation, refinement degasification, pouring temperature. Solid solution temperature, solid solution time, ageing temperature and ageing time influence the alloy's microstructure and mechanical properties. The result shows that the new aluminium bronze alloy is a good high-strength material.
