Abstract: The viability of non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques to detect and assess defects in fibre-reinforced polymer (FRP) rehabilitated concrete structures depends on their ability to detect critical defect types and on the practicality of the method. While some methods require very little equipment, their sensitivity to defect types, size and depth is questionable, whereas other methods are extremely powerful but have requirements of power supply, space and shielding that are impractical in the field. This paper assesses NDT techniques, already identified in a companion paper on the basis of interacting criteria.
