The antecedents to micro-lending as corporate strategy

Abstract: Organisations have been actively involved in adapting to the changing political, economic and social environments and implementing business strategies for business survival and increased profitability. This paper highlights the role of microlending as a successful business strategy to deal with the environmental uncertainties of all kind. It presents the origin of micro lending and its growth as a strategic tool to achieve competitive advantage. Using the current literature analysis and interpretation and review of corporate practices, this paper provides the antecedents for successful micro lending adoption in multinational organisations. It also provides a figurative schema and suggests research hypothesis on the antecedents for microlending adoption and its success as a strategic tool for enhanced organisational performance.
