Prioritising information system characteristics for managing logistics flexibility of Indian cooperative dairies

Abstract: In the past, many researchers have explored the possibility of managing logistics flexibility. The current dynamics in logistics system flexibility have led to the adoption of information technology at operational and strategic level. To gain sustainable competitive advantage, the co-operative dairies need to leverage the potentials of information system in building up the logistics flexibility. There is a gap in the research on impact of characteristics of information system to manage logistics system flexibility of co-operative dairies. This study explores the impact of logistics operating system and logistics planning system characteristics on maintaining logistics flexibility for co-operative dairies.
