Abstract: Pulse pressure signals observed over radial artery have been utilised as bio-medical signals for health diagnosis as described by ancient Indian medicine where Vata, Pitta and Kapha are believed as three basic elements regulating the health conditions. Complexity analysis of all the six pulse signals has been carried out using Entropy for healthy and unhealthy subjects suffering from Gastrointestinal disorders. Complexity and its variability within pulse segments are found to be significantly higher in Vata pulse signal of both the hands. The findings are correlated with the principles described in Ayurveda for Vata element.
