Abstract: This work is dedicated to the simulation study for the transverse and longitudinal mitigation effect on propagation modes in some coated materials (layer/substrate): SiC/Si, Al/SiC. The study is based on the acoustic signal simulation of received by the reflection acoustic microscope along the exploration of a coated material. The simulated signal showed us the variation of the reflection coefficient as a function of the angle of incidence of the acoustic wave. In addition, we determined the variations for this coefficient as a function of the transverse and longitudinal attenuation coefficient.
