Abstract: The e-Petitioning concept has been particularly developed during the last years. However, it seems that the field of e-petitioning is not yet standardised. There is neither a standard nor a unified procedure so as to develop and "run" an e-Petition service. In this respect, the authors have conducted a thorough literature review of practical approaches and best practices adopted until today, for e-petitioning. A synthesis of the main results of this review has been realised and is presented in the paper. In addition, we propose a procedure for the development and "running" of a generalised e-Petition service.
