Abstract: Benchmarking of industrial business processes is based on the comparison of performances reached. However, benchmarking should also allow the understanding of how each process attains these performances. To this end, modelling techniques can be very useful. For this purpose, we have developed BENCHGRAI, a method of modelling, assessing and comparing industrial business processes. The paper will present the main concepts of the method, the techniques used to model and to evaluate the industrial processes and a structured approach supporting the benchmarking application. An example of a real application will illustrate the paper.
