Abstract: Moving object detection has an important role in machine vision and video processing. In the paper, we present a method based on the cloud model and background subtraction. First, a background subtraction in the image is done and the moving window is used to segment the image. Cloud model is used in the moving window to detect the moving object, with the concept extracting of the cloud model. At last, an experiment is given and compared with the background subtraction and the cloud model. It shows that our method is relative, precise and effective.
