Abstract: A two-stage installation for liquid radioactive waste (LRW) immobilisation is intended for LRW reprocessing with the objective to include radionuclides into solid vitreous matrix. Depending on the processing scheme of immobilisation, an installation for LRW immobilisation may include one or more devices. This paper describes a developed mathematical model of a two-stage installation for LRW immobilisation. The model consists of two parts. The first part includes models of the devices forming the two-stage installation. The second part is a model of a device connection. The developed model can be used to optimise existing or projected installations for LRW immobilisation.
