Abstract: In traditional Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs), complete sensing coverage under energy constraint of networks is a basic issue drawing increasing attentions. However, most of the existing methods require global network information to determine the proper configurations of sensors to provide sufficient sensing coverage. In this paper, we address the point coverage problem in directional WSN with adjustable sensing range, orientation and field of view. The proposed strategy is target-oriented; it can cover all target points but consume less energy. Especially, all needed computations can be done locally. Simulation results show the viability and effectiveness of the proposed strategies.
