Abstract: Culture distance has been a major dynamic in cross-border acquisition research. Results so far have been mixed and this study, in an attempt to overcome this, introduces transformational leadership as a moderator into this relationship. To reach this objective, we study 109 UK-based companies engaged in cross-border acquisitions using multiple moderated regression. The results point out that transformational leadership has a positive moderating effect in this relationship.
