Abstract: High surface area electrodes made of TiO2+WO3+C powder coatings have been prepared and tested as photoanodes in mini-photoelectrochemical cells based on Nafion® electrolyte-impregnated microporous membranes. Photovoltammetry and constant potential photoamperometry, carried out at the (TiO2+WO3+C)/Nafion® photoanode of an all-solid device in a gas stream saturated with water vapour or with the vapours of methanol aqueous solution under UV and visible (Vis) light illumination, results in well-defined photoelectrochemistry. The effect of TiO2/WO3/C photoanode composition on the photocurrent of all-solid photoelectrochemical cells was studied. The possibility of using C+TiO2+WO3 powder catalyst as a photoanode in an all-solid photoelectrochemical cell with a polymer electrolyte for air treatment has been demonstrated.
