International Journal of Vehicle Safety (IJVS), Vol. 5, No. 2, 2011

Abstract: For any type of vehicle, it is an acute problem to provide the driver (pilot) with the most complete information on the current traffic situation. As people think with visual images, radio electronic navigation, range-finders and other devices play an auxiliary role, and the existing optical means provide an unsatisfactory solution to this problem. Therefore, only on-board TV systems of circular scan are capable of solving this problem efficiently. The paper describes such a system providing automatically commutable reproduction of information, which is most relevant in the current traffic situation, on the screen.
