Abstract: Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) has been widely applied and the implementations of RFID Real-time Location Systems (RTLS) have been increasing. This study proposes an RFID RTLS based on Received Signal Strength (RSS) without increasing the equipment cost and changing location algorithms. The proposed system uses optimal combination of RFID calibration parameters and Taguchi parameter design to provide low cost and effective solutions with improved location accuracy.
