Nuclear temperature: a global thermodynamic approach
by Umberto Lucia
International Journal of Nuclear Energy Science and Technology (IJNEST), Vol. 6, No. 1, 2011

Abstract: In 2009 it was pointed out that, in nuclear photofission, a rigorous thermodynamic approach must be introduced in the thermodynamic analysis of nuclear photofission and the first aim is to obtain a relation between the nuclear temperature definition and the excitation function, introduced in 1992. An analysis of the nuclear temperature is developed. The aim is to define the nuclear temperature using the photofission probability function, in order to link it to the inner properties of the nuclei.
