Abstract: The use of relativistic frame invariants is very well established, especially when it comes to the energy-momentum. What is less understood is the notion of 'invariant mass' as it applies to systems of particles. In a previous paper (Sfarti, 2010), we have derived some very interesting theorems for the conservation of the energy and momentum for closed systems of particles. In the derivation, we have made use of the invariance of the equivalent mass of the system. In the present paper, we will prove that the equivalent mass of a system of particles is indeed frame invariant. We will then present several applications for the calculation of energy momentum in experiments involving particle collisions.
