Abstract: On the basis of LMI, a design method of variable gain robust H controller for a class of uncertain Delta-operator-formulated time-delay system is presented in this paper. The controller gain variation is assumed to be additive-norm-bounded. A sufficient condition for the existence of the controller is formulated in LMI form, which is delay-independent. A numerical example is used to illustrate the effectiveness of the designed procedures. Through the analysis of the poles and the initial response curves of the closed-loop system, the results show that it is necessary to consider the variations of the controller parameters when we design a controller for the uncertain Delta-operator-formulated time-delay system.
