Abstract: Case-based reasoning (CBR) method has been deployed in the diagnosis of neuromuscular diseases (NMD) based upon EMG signals and also data mining (DM) methods have been used for the same purpose. Mostly EMG-based parameters and certain non-signal parameters have been considered for the same. We have performed an integrated CBR and DM method for the diagnosis of EMG-based NM diseases. We have taken psychological and cognitive parameters apart from the EMG-based parameters. Computation cost is taken as the metric to evaluate the performance of CBR and CBR-DM integrated model. There is a saving of computation cost, speed and storage in the integrated model.
