Abstract: This paper investigates the question and challenge of knowledge enabling and sharing in distributed organisational environments. On the basis of broad empirical material from action research in two Norwegian companies, we describe and reflect on the development and use of ICT enhanced storytelling as a means to address the challenges above. As a point of departure, we use the learning histories methodology and extend this approach by means of ICT into the realm of purposeful digital storytelling for the support of organisational development. On this background we develop the notions of ''situated support systems'' and ''knowledge hyperstories'', located at the intersection of learning histories proper, cybertext, hyptertext and the web medium.
