Abstract: The recent focus on performance management of MNCs is evidenced by a number of publications devoted to the topic. Yet, there is limited evidence-based management knowledge on the topic. The conceptual frameworks that have been developed have mainly focused on culture. Although hypotheses have been suggested, there is limited empirical research on the topic. Seven suggestions are made for future IHRM research with regard to PM in MNCs.
