Ecotourism frangible areas and a measurement model of frangibility

Abstract: This study reconstructs the concept of ecotourism frangible areas and defines ecotourism frangibility according to the threats and risks that the ecotourism system is receiving from nature and human economic activities. Based on the research perspective of the stability and elasticity of the ecotourism system, this paper discusses the measurement model of ecotourism frangibility and reveals the essence of ecotourism frangible areas. It allows ecotourism frangibility enter into a status of possible quantitative description from qualitative description, and establishes a corresponding scientific background and research foundation for promoting the development of ecotourism frangibility theory.
