Affect of working environment on job satisfaction in Pakistan

Abstract: The purpose of this research paper is to investigate the determinants of teacher satisfaction and to find the level of satisfaction with their job, in terms of various factors such as working conditions, pay and benefits and relationship with co-workers in Pakistani universities. The data were collected by using a questionnaire; 110 university teachers were surveyed to find the level of satisfaction with their job, in terms of with various factors such as working conditions, pay and benefits and relationship with co-workers. Convenience sampling was used, and a total of 88 usable questionnaires were returned. Findings of the research show that job satisfaction is highly dependent upon factors like, pay-benefits, relationship with co-workers and working conditions.
