Abstract: In this paper, a rectangular unit of steel roof in Zhenghou International Conference Exhibition Center is investigated about the effects of different structural parameters on its dynamic performances with ANSYS software. Response spectrum method is adopted to calculate the natural vibration characteristics, the dynamic displacements, the support reactions, the ratio of the maximum dynamic forces over static forces, and the ratio of the maximum dynamic displacement over static displacement, etc. The results indicate that the influences of pre-tensions on the dynamic properties of the pre-tensioned steel roof may be ignored, but, boundary condition will have great effects on its mechanical performances under seismic response.
