International Journal of Services and Operations Management (IJSOM), Vol. 8, No. 1, 2011

Abstract: In a supply chain, selection of right suppliers is a strategic consideration. Supplier selection is the process of finding suitable suppliers from the set of alternative suppliers who can be strategic partners to the organisation and provide the right quality of product or services at the right price at the right time. Such a problem is highly complex one because it involves a number of qualitative and quantitative factors having interdependencies among themselves. To deal such a complex problem, a fuzzy multi-criteria decision making approach in group decision making environment is proposed.
