The physics of epistemology

Abstract: A comprehensive and generalised model of human cognitive processes has been put together by the author based on his research and investigations carried out periodically over an extended period of time. The model is represented by three Venn diagrams. These consist of three fuzzy sets, one representing quantum mechanical processes, one representing pattern recognition processes and one representing digital action processes. These fuzzy sets are variable and overlapping in both horizontal and vertical dimensions depending upon the subject and level of detail being considered at the moment. These overlaps can be considered to be a kind of internal synchronisation of intentions and/or actions for such subjects. Implications from the recent revelations of string theory, which unifies all four of the basic forces of the universe, also imply that the most fundamental processes of the mind, involving emotions, values and beliefs for example, as well as judgement and decision processes could be represented by considering human cognition to be constantly vibrating or resonating in various modes in searches for external synchronisms.
