Technical Note: When is Just-In-Time inventory management appropriate

Abstract: This article introduces Just-in-Time inventory management as a method designed to eliminate costs that do not add value to the final product. It affects primarily the purchasing and production operations. However, it also requires support and commitment from workers as well as management to be appropriate for a company striving towards manufacturing excellence.
